Committees
The Parents & Citizens Association
The role of the Castle Hill High School Parents
and Citizen’s Association (P&C) is to:
- Promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students
and teaching staff into close cooperation.
- Assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school.
- Promote the recreation and welfare of the students at the school.
- The P&C operates two businesses in the School, which are our main fund raising
activities:
- The Canteen (open every School day); and The Uniform Shop (open 8.30 am – 11.30 am Monday and Friday
- The money raised by the Canteen and Uniform Shop is used to fund school projects
that will benefit all children at Castle Hill High School. For instance the P&C
co-sponsors the School Bus (with a donation of $8000 each year). The P&C
provides approximately between $30000 and $50000 to the School annually through
its funding round. Each year the P&C seeks applications from the School
Community (i.e. teachers, parents and students) for projects that will benefit
the School.
- Information about the P&C’s activities is published in most editions of the
School’s Fortnightly Newsletter, which is distributed to students in their PC
classes, and can be accessed under the "news" button of this website.
You can help us help the School by either:
- Attending P&C meetings or getting involved in a P&C sub-committee, such as the
Shops Committee; and / or
- Buying all your children’s uniforms from the Uniform Shop; and / or
- Helping in the Canteen or the Uniform Shop.
If you can assist in any way, even if it just a few hours, please contact either
the Canteen Managers or the Uniform Shop Manager on 96344199 during the business
hours listed above.=
