At Castle Hill High School it is important that students learn in a happy and safe environment.

A structured welfare system places each student into a Pastoral Care group which becomes the student’s support group for their time at Castle Hill High School. The Pastoral Care teachers are personally involved in the welfare of each student within their Pastoral Care Group.

Our Code of Conduct emphasises care for students and develops their responsibility and self discipline. A Peer Support Program, Leadership Team, Student Representative Council, Sports Council, School Liaison Team, Multicultural Team and Peer Mediation offer students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills. The school Code of Conduct underpins the welfare and discipline structure.

 Anti-Drug Policy

Castle hill High School is a safe and happy school. To encourage this sentiment amongst students, teachers, parents, and the local community, we are firm in enforcing our policy of no illegal substances at school.

This includes alcohol and tobacco. If students are discovered to have in their possession any illegal substance, they will be dealt with immediately by the Principal who will immediately inform the Police.

If illegal substances are proven to be in students' possession then the logical consequences will inevitably follow. Students need to be reminded that alcohol and tobacco are not acceptable substances at school.

Students found with these will be dealt with by the Deputy Principal and Principal and parents will be contacted, and a course of remediation set in place. Additionally, we wish to remind all concerned that there is no place in this school for students who possess illegal substances whatsoever.
