Students from the VET entertainment class are to produce a Stage Management Manual for Showcase: “The Hills are Alive” incorporating:

  • stage elements
  • audio requirements
  • lighting requirements

Students will work in teams and each team will be responsible for the production of documents that will be incorporated into a Stage Management Manual to be used during this event.

The manual will contain:

  • A title page
  • Backstage Plan (will be provided)
  • Dress rehearsal schedule
  • Dressing Room Allocations (will be provided)
  • Performance schedule
  • Stage Management Team

  • Stage & Seating Plan of Venue (will be provided)
  • Running Sheets for each item (dance, drama, music and other)

  • Catering Plan (will be provided)
 

You are expected to document your work with diary entries indicating every aspect of tasks undertaken by each individual in the team. Diary entries are to be specific to tasks undertaken by each student.

Any evidence of research or written material or printed material you have generated must be submitted in your portfolio for assessment. e.g. Conversations with relevant production staff must be documented and dated.
